Statement of Faith & Values
baptizing them, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

And, surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew
28:18-20)
Effective discipleship and evangelism consists of the following
fundamental values:
A. Worship: We believe in God centered worship that focuses our hearts
and minds on God and instructs us in His word and its relevancy for our
lives. (Matthew 4:10; John 4:24). Our expression of worship should be
reverent and focused on Christ. The display of experiential spiritual gifts
such as prophecy, physical healing and speaking in tongues during
worship takes the focus off Christ and puts it on man. Consequently,
these gifts are not sought nor encouraged during worship services.
B. Fellowship: We believe in a community of believers committed to
developing Christ-like relationships within the family of God (Ecclesiastes
4:9-12; Hebrews 10:24-25).
C. Service: We believe in equipping people for service based on their
God given spiritual gifts. (Romans 12; Mark 10:45).
D. Spiritual Growth and Maturity: We believe the source of spiritual
growth and maturity is God and His Word (Ephesians 4:12-15;
Colossians 2:6-7; Hebrews 5:12). Study of the Bible (scriptures) is
fundamental to Discipleship and Evangalism *(added 4/20)
E. Outreach: We believe that God wants us to join Him in reaching
others by building redemptive relationships and reproducing His church
(Matthew 28:18-20).
F. Leadership: We believe in a team of leaders that is called, committed,
gifted and equipped to authentically lead the church in pursuit of its God
given fundamental values.
