Meet Father Moncrief

Welcome to the Trinity Anglican Church Website and thank you for your interest. It is indeed a great honor that God has given me to oversee the spiritual well being of this congregation and to help further His kingdom in Southwest Colorado. Kathy and I come to Colorado from Canada, via Phoenix, Arizona where I attended seminary at Andrewes Hall. We moved here in September 2004 and I was received into the Reformed Episcopal Church in April 2005. Kathy is a dental hygienist in Durango for Dr. Caldwell and is celebrating twenty-five years in her chosen profession.

My road to the pulpit was by no means normal and I never take it for granted. I grew up in the Anglican Church in Canada but as a teenager decided that it was easier to follow the ways of the world than to follow Christ. For twenty-five years I ran from God as hard and fast as I could. I worshipped my Harleys and the lifestyle that went with them, ignoring my creator and running with the devil. In May of 1998 God revealed Himself to me in a mighty way and I was miraculously delivered from death in trespasses and sin to eternal life in Jesus Christ.

Along with my conversion, came a calling to ministry that could not be ignored. Obedience to that calling and the desire to do God’s will has brought Kathy and me to one of the most beautiful places in God’s creation. The desire to teach the historic truth of God’s word in a way that glorifies the Trinity brought me to the Reformed Episcopal Church.
