We first
gathered as a fellowship of Anglican believers in the February 2004. We
had no sanctuary, no altar and no priest, only a desire to be faithful to
God's calling to uphold the traditional faith as given to us in scripture.
Our faith has broadened and our numbers have increased since that time.
God has met our every need! Through His divine providence our Vicar, Marvin Moncrief,
became a part of our congregation in October 2004 . We were canonically
received into membership of the Reformed Episcopal Church on April 30, 2006,
by the Rt. Rev. Royal U. Grote, Jr. the Bishop Ordinary of the Dioceses of
Mid-America of the Reformed Episcopal Church, which has been in
existence for over 100 years. Also in 2006,
we were blessed with a generous gift of a parcel of land in Harman Park.
Over the past few years, many other generous folks have provided an organ, a
keyboard, 1928 prayer books, hymnals, altar linens, altar vessels, crosses, chairs,
kneelers, architectural designs for our future church
building, and other gifts too numerous to mention. We plan to
build our sanctuary as God provides the means to do so. You can see a
sketch of our future church home any Sunday after church during coffee
service.
